Morning Manna

"God is love. When we take up permanent residence in a life of love, we live in God and God lives in us. This way, love has the run of the house, becomes at home and mature in us, so that we're free of worry on Judgment Day—our standing in the world is identical with Christ's. There is no room in love for fear. Well-formed love banishes fear. Since fear is crippling, a fearful life—fear of death, fear of judgment—is one not yet fully formed in love." -- 1 John 4:17-18 MSG

Abba, You invite me to come to You as little child...eyes wide opened, sparkly, eager, fearless. Somehow life has a way of fogging, clouding out, expectancy and joy.

You assure me that You will never fail me nor abandon me. You nailed my biggest fears...literally.

There is no fear in love. You invite me to trust You. You invite me to be free from worry. You invite me to lean into Your Bosom as one whom Jesus loves. You invite me to enter into True Rest.

When fear has the run of the house, the roof caves in and the walls come crashing down. There is no Peace. When Love has the run of the house, we boldly and confidently say, The Lord is my Helper! Shalom in the home.

I need not fear exposure, condemnation, or judgement. You have suffered all these things in my place. Your substitutionary sacrifice offers me a Better Way to live. You are so kind.

I am the Righteousness of God in Christ...atonement has been made. The feasting begins...
